1. Agreement

By installing or using Kraya you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kraya. You must be 18 or older.

2. What Kraya is

Kraya is a free tool that helps landlords record tenants and meter readings, calculate rent and utility bills, prepare reminder messages and bill images, and share a UPI payment page. Kraya does not collect rent, hold money, process payments or send messages on your behalf — you send every message and every payment happens in the payer’s own UPI app.

3. Your responsibilities

• Check every amount, reading and message before sending it. Kraya calculates from the numbers you enter.
• Charge only what your rent agreement and the law allow — including your State’s electricity and water rules on charging tenants for sub-metered supply.
• Enter your own correct UPI ID and name. Payment requests must be only for genuine amounts actually owed to you.
• Obtain tenants’ information fairly, keep it secure and use it only for your tenancy (see the Privacy Policy).
• Keep backups. Data stored only on your device can be lost if the device is lost, reset or its browser data is cleared.

4. Prohibited use

You must not use Kraya or kraya.biz to:

• request money that is not genuinely owed to you, or use someone else’s UPI ID or name;
• deceive, defraud or “phish” anyone, or make pages or messages that pretend to come from a bank, government body or any other person;
• harass, threaten, shame or intimidate anyone, or send messages at unreasonable hours or in unreasonable numbers;
• send messages to people who are not your tenants or who have asked you to stop;
• break any law, including laws on rent, data protection, information technology and payments;
• interfere with, overload, copy, scrape or attack the website, or remove the copyright notices or branding.

If you receive a Kraya payment link or message you believe is fake or abusive, do not pay — write to support@kraya.biz with the link. We may block access to kraya.biz, disable features or take other steps to stop misuse, and may report unlawful activity to the authorities.

5. Free service, no warranty

Kraya is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or that notifications will arrive at a particular time — phones may delay or block them. Use the calendar reminder if timing matters.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MotherShepherd Private Limited is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, lost rent, disputes between landlords and tenants, payments made to a wrong UPI ID, or loss of data stored on your device. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to ₹0 (nil), except where the law does not allow such a limit.

7. Indemnity

You agree to compensate MotherShepherd Private Limited for any claim, loss or cost arising from your misuse of Kraya or your breach of these Terms or the law.

8. Ownership

The Kraya name, logo, app, website and content are © MotherShepherd Private Limited. You may use the app for managing your own properties. You may not copy, resell, rebrand or publish Kraya or its content without written permission. The records you enter belong to you.

9. Changes and ending

We may change these Terms or the service at any time; the app will ask you to agree to material changes. You may stop using Kraya at any time by uninstalling it and clearing its data.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the place of MotherShepherd Private Limited’s registered office will have exclusive jurisdiction.
