Privacy Policy

Effective 23 September 2026 · Applies to the Kraya app and website at kraya.biz, operated by MotherShepherd Private Limited.

1. Summary

• Kraya is free. There is no account, sign-up, subscription or advertising.
• Your records stay on your device. Tenants, phone numbers, meter readings, bills, payments and your UPI ID are saved only in your browser’s storage on the device where you use Kraya. We do not receive, collect, store or sell them.
• No tracking. Kraya uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

2. Information you enter in the app

Everything you type into Kraya stays on your device. MotherShepherd Private Limited has no access to it and cannot recover it. It is deleted when you clear the app’s or browser’s data, or uninstall the app. You can make a copy with Settings → Export backup; that file is yours, and you are responsible for keeping it safe.

3. Information our web server may see

When you open kraya.biz, our hosting provider automatically receives technical information that every website receives — such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — and may keep it in server logs for security and to run the service. For the payment page, the requested address contains the payee’s UPI ID, name, amount and note, so these can appear in those logs. We use this information only to operate and secure the website and to investigate misuse, and we do not sell it.

4. Tenants’ personal data

If you are a landlord, you decide what information about your tenants to record and send. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to hold it, for using it only to manage your tenancy, and for complying with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Delete a tenant’s records when you no longer need them.

5. Services you choose to open

Messages are sent by you through WhatsApp or your SMS app. Payments are made directly between tenant and landlord in UPI apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm. Calendar reminders are saved in your calendar app. Those services have their own privacy policies. Kraya never handles money and never sees payment details.

6. Notifications

If you turn on notifications, your device shows due-date reminders. The reminder check runs on your device; nothing is sent to us.

7. Security

Because your records live on your device, protect it with a screen lock and keep your backup file private. Always check the payee name shown in your UPI app before paying.

8. Children

Kraya is meant for adults aged 18 and above.

9. Your choices

You can view, change or delete everything in the app at any time. To remove all data, clear the app’s site data or uninstall it. If you have a question or complaint about privacy, write to us at the address below.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and the app will ask you to agree again before continuing.
